Probably The Best Aurora on Earth

Overnight Stay

Our goal is to see as much of the northern lights as possible. What better way to do this than to stay the whole night at the Aurora Sky Station.

Friday

We meet at 17.30 at the mountain station for check-in and information. After that we take the chair-lift up to the Aurora Sky Station. Upon arrival an exclusive dinner is served. We all watch together for the first hours before we prepare for the night and get our camp beds ready. The guide will continue to keep an eye up to the sky and wake up the others as soon as the Aurora Borealis occurs.

Saturday

After an early cup of coffee or tea we take the chair-lift down again. At the mountain station the sauna is already warm and ready. Breakfast is served in the restaurant, ending no later than 10.00.

Disclaimer

The Aurora Sky Station cannot guarantee any viewing of the Aurora Borealis (northern lights). The Aurora Sky Station can be closed on short notice due to the Arctic weather conditions (strong winds, cold temperatures, snow storms etc.). Statistics from previous seasons show that the Aurora Sky Station is open 85-90 % of the scheduled dates and that Aurora Borealis (northern lights) is visible 50-60 % of the nights open. The Aurora Sky Station at the top of the mountain is basic. There is no electricity and the toilets are dry, meaning without any water and unheated.
